Truth - the Doorway to Healing

Truth - the Doorway to Healing

"O Jehovah, who shall dwell in Your tabernacle? Who shall live in Your
holy mountain? He who walks uprightly and works righteousness, and speaks the truth in his heart."
Psalm 15:1, 2, LITV

We are passionate in Ellel Ministries in seeking the restoration of damaged lives through the healing ministry of Jesus. The Bible is full of advice on how to get right with God and discover the reality of His promises to redeem us and to heal us. The most powerful principle in this process is that of receiving forgiveness, the pardon of God, through Jesus Christ, that releases us from the enemy’s ability to promote his destruction of our lives.

However, undergirding this amazing principle of God’s grace is the absolute need for each one of us to make the choice of walking fully in the truth. Jesus pointedly calls the devil ‘the father of lies’ (John 8:44), making it clear that Satan has spiritual authority wherever there is unreality or indeed any issue kept in the dark.

The world strongly promotes the belief that lies are only a problem if you get found out. By contrast, the Bible makes it clear that it’s the lack of truth itself that separates us from God and from the covenant of peace that He has made with us. Jesus not only knew truth and spoke truth, He was and is Truth. If we actively seek Him, we will inevitably discover more and more truth about God and about ourselves.

Many times in my own journey of healing and in praying for others I have seen the breakthrough come when truth has been revealed, acknowledged and spoken out loud, in agreement with God. The enemy fights hard to keep things in the dark because he knows that when the light of truth comes he will lose significant ground. Let’s make a choice to walk in more truth today.

Prayer: Father God, thank You for the absolute ‘Truth’, which is Jesus. Please give me the courage, through Him, to seek and speak truth today and to open a new doorway for Your healing touch in my life.
